International roundtable on LGBT human rights activism
Join us at the Center on December 17th for a roundtable discussion on LGBT human rights worldwide. This month marks the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. For the first time, the United Nations General Assembly will address human rights abuses based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Scott Long of Human Rights Watch will moderate a discussion with activists from Argentina, Brazil, Burundi, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria and Peru.
