Immigration: It is Our Issue
![]() Although not always portrayed as an LGBT issue, immigration law greatly impacts the lives of LGBT and HIV-positive people. Exclusion and marginalization are no strangers to the queer community and many of the arguments levied against immigrants have also been used to undermine LGBT people. Immigration law impacts all aspects of queer culture: the partners we love, the families we choose, the literature we absorb and the art that affects us. Most importantly immigration is changing the complexion of our community. This month our programs will highlight the significance of Immigration in the LGBT community politically, socially and culturally. | |
