This collection was donated in two different installments by Jay Blotcher, Media Coordinator of ACT-UP / New York from May 1989 to July 1992 and Media Coordinator of Queer Nation / New York, from March 1990 to January 1991.

No names may be published unless (1) they are publicly known as gay or lesbian, or (2) their permission has been obtained, or (3) they are deceased. Restrictions are only in regards to publication; any researcher may view or copy any document in the collection.
Scope and Content
The collection contains numerous newspaper articles, flyers, press releases, and correspondence from and to Jay Blotcher when he was Media Cooridnator for both ACT UP and Queer Nation.
History or Bio
From May, 1989 to February, 1990, plus the Internationational Conference on AIDS in Amsterdam, July 1992, Jay Blotcher was the Media Coordinator for ACT UP/New York,he served as a founding member and Media Coordinator of Queer Nation /New York from March 1990 to January 1991. He wrote news releases, newspaper articles and a number of magazine articles in gay publications and main stream publications as well. This collection also contains his collection of Queer Nation/New York from March, 1990 to January 1991.
