Increasingly  African American and Latina women are taking charge of the images that represent them on screen. These evolving images are  a result of the active participation of African American and Latina women in the total filmmaking process. This season, the Center’s Women’s Film series showcases films that feature new work by African American and Latina screenwriters, directors, producers and actors. A companion program to each screening will allow audiences to participate in a conversation about the films impact. This series is produced in collaboration with NewFest.

The Center's Women's Film Series provides a venue for women filmmakers and videographers and seeks out work that is reflective and inclusive of our diverse community.
