Library Policies and Procedures

• Joining the Library:
  • Identification is required to join the library - either a picture ID with address or a picture ID and additional proof of address (i.e., utility bill, lease, etc.)
  • For full library borrowing privileges, please become a Center Member.
• Check-out periods:
  • Center Members:
    • Books may be checked out for two weeks at a time and renewed once for an additional two weeks. Limit: 2 books at a time. 
    • Videos or DVDs may be checked out for one week at a time and cannot be renewed. Limit: 2 videos or DVDs at a time.
  • Standard Patrons:
    • Books may be checked out for 2 weeks and canot be renewed. Limit: 1 book at a time.
• Non-Circulating items:
• Reference books, Travel books, Art & Photography books, and periodicals may not be removed from the library.
• Returning Books and Videos
  • Books, videos, and DVDs may be returned in person during regular library hours.
  • A book drop and a video drop are located outside the entrance of the library. Only books may be returned into the book drop and only videos and DVDs may be returned to the video drop. Persons returning items in the incorrect drop receive a $5 fine.
  • There is a $0.25 late fee charged per library day for books, up to a maximum of $5. For videos and DVDs, the late fee is $1 per library day, up to a maximum of $15. Lost items incur a fine of $20 or the replacement cost of the item, whichever is higher.
• Food and beverages are not permitted in the library.
