Marriage Resource Guide

After New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Marriage Equality Bill on June 24, legalizing marriage for same sex couples in New York, many couples have already begun planning their weddings. Here at the Center we would like to make the path to marriage as easy as possible for members of our community, so here are a few key resources to help you begin the marriage process!

Pace Accounting & Tax Services, Inc.

Pace Accounting has been handling the small business and individual needs of the LGBT community since 1969.  With marriage now legal for same-sex couples in New York State, tax filing for those couples is going to get even more complicated. Although it may feel exciting for newly married couples to file a joint state tax return, for certain couples this may not always be their best option.    It’s now more important than ever to seek out a tax professional to file your income tax returns.  If you choose our firm we will donate 20% of your tax preparation fees to the LGBT Community Center, just mention you found us on the centers site.
