The holidays have always been a time when our community has gathered together at the The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center to celebrate with one another. In light of the recent blow of Proposition 8, and other ballot initiatives, it is imperative that we not only celebrate together but act out together! Our community's LGBT families have been hit hard. The inability to receive over 1000 rights given to heterosexual couples and parents continues to threaten the strength and stability of our families. Through initiatives like Center Kids, Center Families, we provide invaluable resources to "nontraditional" families and advocate on state and local levels to fight back against this type of discrimination. Below is an example of how your donation can influence the lives of countless underrepresented LGBT families and partnerships that require supplemental resources.

A DONATION OF:		WHAT YOUR GIFT CAN DO:
$35 Dollars		Pays for two families to participate in one of our monthly "Family Play Days," providing opportunities to connect and make friends for children with LGBT parents.
$150 Dollars		Helps pay for our "Wannabe Dads and Moms Program" for LGBT people exploring the possibilities of becoming parents through adoption or foster care.
$300 Dollars		Goes towards facilitating the "Parenting Partnership Group" for LGBT couples and singles interested in seeking the involvement of a father or a mother in the lives of their children.
$1000 Dollars		Helps maintain our "Planning Biological Support Groups" for Men and Women currently in the process of conceiving children through alternative insemination or surrogacy.
