Katelynn, trans woman, activist:
"Transgender people are often overlooked in the workplace due to others' concerns over our gender expression, however we are as valuable as any other employee. Workplace discrimination is among the most common forms of discrimination that our community faces, and it happens so blatantly from the bathrooms to the cubicles to the meeting rooms."

If you are you a transgender employee, please see Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Employees Resources.
Welcome, coworkers and employers of trans and gender-nonconforming people!
From the Human Rights Campaign: "Transgender employees can present unique workplace challenges. Transitioning employees – those who are moving outside the socially accepted standards of dress, physiology and/or behavior of their birth gender – often cannot avoid challenging community standards about what is gender-appropriate self-identification, appearance or expression. Furthermore, little legal protection exists for workplace gender non-conformity."
