How do I become a Center member?

You can sign up by:

• Joining online (preferred and fastest method) at www.gaycenter.org/membership
• Visiting the Center at 208 West 13th Street in New York City (between 7th and 8th Aves.) and filling out a membership form in the main office
• Become a member over the phone by calling us at 212.620.7310

Do I have to pay for my membership in full when I sign up?

Only if the membership is less than $150/year. Otherwise, you can make a pledge and pay it in monthly or quarterly installments.

What are my payment options?

• You can pay by credit card online at www.gaycenter.org/membership or over the phone at 212.620.7310
• You can mail a check made out to "the Center" (208 W. 13th. St., New York, NY 10011)
• You can also request that we send you an invoice

What do I get with my Center membership?

The benefits depend on the membership level. Please Visit the Levels and Benefit page for details.

What is "Center Rewards"?

"Center Rewards" is a discount program available to our members only. Please Visit the Center Rewards page for a list of merchants.

When will I receive my membership card?

You should receive your membership card and thank you letter at the address provided within 7-10 business days. This is to provide for the updating of your account, processing the payment, printing the acknowledgement letter, passing the letter through the executive director's office, and mailing it to you.

Who are Center members?

Our members are thousands of individuals (currently about 4,000) who want to support the Center in its mission. Most of our members reside in the tri-sate area but we have some members who reside in places as far as Florida, California, France and the United Kingdom and who are making a long-distance commitment. The Center takes pride in its membership base which represents all orientations, genders, races and ages.
