Civil Liberties & Public Policy Program

Mission:
A reproductive rights organization that trains, educates, and inspires

The Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program, located at Hampshire
College in Amherst, is creating continuity in the Reproductive Rights
Movement by training the new leaders of the movement. Beginning in
1981, CLPP has inspired and organized students and young people around
the prescient issues of reproductive rights. Understanding that the
issues at stake in the fight over reproductive rights extend to matters
that are at the root of other struggles, it has developed connections
with groups concerned with women’s health, safety and empowerment,
economic and racial justice, youth liberation, queer rights,
environmental justice, peace and security, disability rights, and
immigrant rights.
