To end all types of violence in the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people

Kansas City Anti-Violence ProjectRecognizing a gap in services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender victims of violence or sexual assault, the Kansas City
Anti-Violence Project (KCAVP) opened in June of 2003 to fill the void.
Part support and part education, KCAVP works toward a vision of ending
“all types of violence in the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender (LGBT) people.” To that end, KCAVP provides: court
advocacy, emergency assistance, training sessions, community
organizing, statistical reporting, as well as other forms of help and
outreach.
