New York City Gay & Lesbian Anti-Violence Project

Mission:
Celebrating 25 years of service to New York's lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual & HIV-affected communities

New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence ProjectFormed as a reaction to the lack of a response to anti-gay violence,
the New York Gay & Lesbian Anti-Violence Project (AVP) provides
free and confidential services to those in the LGBT and HIV positive
community affected by it. AVP efforts include: educating the public,
in particular law enforcement and social service agencies, about
violence against and within our communities; documenting violence
motivated by hate; and proving legal advocacy for victims.
