Mission:
<b>Improving the health of lesbians and their families</b>
Founded in 1990, The Mautner Project takes as it mission to “improve the health of lesbians and their families through advocacy, education, research, and direct service.” They, also, envision a health care system that evaluates and responds to the needs of its patients and is guided by social justice. The Mauter Project has, not only, a nation-wide phone support resource, but also, a number of community-based health workshop. Among its many successes, The Mauter Project is a co-founder and board member of the National Breast Cancer Coalition.
