Location

Description

In his tenth decade, Arthur Laurents is one of the busiest and most successful men on and off Broadway, maintaining a schedule that would exhaust most people half his age. Last March, the new production of “Gypsy” with Patti Lupone, which Laurents directed, garnered one of the most enthusiastic reviews that Times theater critic Ben Brantley has ever written. This fall he starts rehearsals on a brand-new, bi-lingual version of “West Side Story”, which will open on Broadway next March 19. Charles Kaiser writes a blog called Full Court Press for radaronline.com. The author of “The Gay Metropolis” and “1968 In America”, Kaiser is a former reporter for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal and a former press critic for Newsweek. He is finishing a book about the French Resistance called The Cost of Courage. An interview not to be missed! Nonmembers $10/OP Members just $5. outprofessionals.org
