Second Tuesdays presents author Malinda Lo, Ash
Join the Center for a reading and book signing of author Malinda Lo’s retelling of the classic Cinderella story, Ash.
Ash is available from Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. Lo, an award-winning lesbian journalist and former managing editor of AfterEllen.com, said she was inspired to rewrite Cinderella after reading the work of Robin McKinley, a young adult author whose retelling of Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty always resonated with Lo.
She is currently working on a companion book for “Ash,” set several hundred years prior to the story, due in the fall of 2010.
