“The Center is shocked and saddened by the brutal act of violence that claimed the life Anthony Collao in Queens. We are also outraged to hear reports that anti-gay slurs were the last thing the young man heard before he was murdered. We call on our community to condemn violent acts rooted in homophobia that target anyone, and we send our profound condolences to the family of Anthony Collao.”
