Center Speakers presents The Rights of LGBT Immigrants
Join us for a provocative conversation on the current state of immigration reform in Washington, DC and its implications for New York City. While binational couples have been the primary focus of the LGBT community, the reality is that LGBT immigrants and their families experience a much broader set of challenges in navigating the broken immigration system. Come help us broaden the discussion on immigration and immigrants’ rights in the LGBT community.
This conversation is moderated by Ben de Guzman a leading voice in LGBT and Asian American/ South Asian/ Southeast Asian/ Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities for over a dozen years. Co-Director for Programs at the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA), the nation’s largest federation of AAPI LGBT organizations.
