U.S. REPRESENTATIVE BARNEY FRANK and actress ANGELA LANSBURY are attending this year's The Center Dinner to present the award to honoree and Center board member TOM KIRDAHY, lawyer, activist and Broadway producer. The Center Dinner will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Monday, March 21, 2011 and benefits the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. More than 450 guests and major donors will be in attendance. The event also features The YLC Center Social after party, which will take place at Metropolitan Pavilion following dinner and feature music by DJ/PRODUCER COREY CRAIG.

Center Dinner will feature a fantastic Live Auction hosted by the Tony Award-winning actor ALAN CUMMING, which will include the opportunity to be an extra on the hit TV show How I Met Your Mother starring NEIL PATRICK HARRIS. The "DC Experience” auction package will include a tour of Financial Services Committee Room in Washington D.C. led by U.S. Representative Barney Frank.
The auctioneer for these exciting auction lots will be Tony Award-winning actor ALAN CUMMING.

In addition, the Center is pleased to announce a performance by the Tony Award and Emmy Award-winning actor DAVID HYDE PIERCE. Pierce is known for his work on TV's Frasier and won the Tony Award for Best Actor for his performance in Curtains. Pierce also received the Isabelle Stevenson Award at the 2010 Tony Awards for his work with the Alzheimer's Association.

MARIO PALUMBO, Board President of the Center, serves as Event Co-Chair along with Center Board member TIMOTHY CHOW. Event Committee Members include DANIEL BERINGER, MATTHEW BETMALECK, TERRENCE MCNALLY and GREG ZAFFIRO. The YLC Center Social committee is chaired by many members of the Center's YOUNG LEADERS COUNCIL. Designer MATTHEW BETMALECK will transform the venue into an elegant space for dinner and the after party.
