FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Center and Out Professionals Present: Annual Fire Island Share-A-Thon Benefits

NEW YORK – The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center and Out Professionals will present the annual Fire Island Share-A-Thon benefits over four nights beginning in January at the Center, 208 West 13th Street. The 2008 Share-A-Thon events will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 17; Saturday, February 23; Tuesday, March 18; and Thursday, April 17.  The proceeds benefit the Center. Summer shares for every budget will be available for gays and lesbians, who wish to spend their summer basking in the Fire Island sun.

If you are offering a summer share, register now to book your space at any, or all, of the four-part series at the Center.   A $40 admission fee will reserve a table and laptop outlet and the ability to exhibit floor plans and photos, distribute fliers, and speak with possible roommates.  It includes admission for the initial share offeror.  Each following offeror will be only $15.   Every category of share (quarter, half and full) can be presented to share seekers.  Each part of the series is considered a stand-alone admission.

Admission for share seekers is $15 per event and provides seekers the opportunity to see exactly what to expect for price, quality, size of accommodation, dates, and housemates.  It is an excellent venue to meet other LGBT share seekers and to form alliances in your search for the best summer share.  Share seekers are welcome to attend one, or all, of the four-part series to obtain a complete view of the summer share offerings.  Complimentary beverages will be available.
