Youth Pride Chorus Celebrates Season of Love
NEW YORK – The Youth Pride Chorus, a 20-member chorus of LGBT teenagers, will celebrate this season of love with the concert “Somebody to Love” at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, and Wednesday, December 19, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street. The concerts will feature songs by Prince, Mika, OutKast, Queen, and more. Wes Webb will direct, and gospel’s Our Lady J will appear as the special guest. A joint project of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center’s Youth Enrichment Services (YES) and the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus, the Youth Pride Chorus will offer a brief workshop for teens just before the concert at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Free tickets are available for all young people between the ages of 13 and 21 by calling the YES office at (212) 620-7310. General admission adult tickets are $12.
