Love. Family. Commitment. As our valentine to you, we’re presenting all six installments of “The Devotion Project,” Antony Osso’s series of short documentary portraits of LGBTQ couples and families. We’re screening all six award-winning films, each under 10 minutes in length, including the world premiere of “Foremost in My Mind,” featuring 1976 women’s basketball Olympic medalist, Gail Marquis and former model, Audrey Smaltz of New York City. Immediately following the screening, Osso will join several couples from the films to talk about this important project.
“In a world where LGBTQ people are in the spotlight mostly for the struggles they fight for equality, represented by outdated stereotypes perpetuated by the media, I reached a point where I needed to see and to present something more: couples and families who are happy and thriving right now. The concept of gay marriage is not new, and that’s what I’m exploring in these films.”- Antony Osso, director and creator of “The Devotion Project”
Presented in association with Freedom to Marry.
