Laverne Cox

Adam Sank gave up a highly successful career as a television news producer - first for Fox News Channel and then for WABC-TV - to become a standup comic.

Since doing so, he has delighted crowds throughout the New York City area and beyond with true-life and howlingly funny tales about coming out to his parents, navigating the gay online dating scene, and working for the most right-wing news network on the planet.

Adam has performed for gay and straight audiences alike at major clubs throughout the city, as well as Fire Island (The Ice Palace at Cherry Grove), Rehoboth Beach (The Blue Moon), the Poconos (Rainbow Mountain Resort), the Catskills (The Andes Hotel) and Cancun, Mexico (Atlantis Events). He has also appeared on Vh-1's "Best Week Ever," truTV's "Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest Criminals," Here TV's "Hot Gay Comics," “The Frank DeCaro Show” on Sirius OutQ Radio and “The Ryan & Caroline Show” on ClearChannel Pride Radio. Adam was also featured on Season Six of NBC's "Last Comic Standing," in June, 2008.

For the past three years, Adam has hosted the wildly popular “Electro Shock Therapy Comedy Hour” at Therapy bar in Manhattan.

An accomplished writer whose articles have appeared in The New York Times, The San Francisco Sentinel, Southern Voice (Atlanta), Watermark (Orlando, FL) and on People Magazine's Website, people.com, Adam is also a co-author of "Things a Man Should Never Do Past the Age of 30," an Esquire Magazine book.

He will be relocating to San Diego in August of 2008.
