Liz asked Elaine about her early years in New York, her show on Broadway and her previous visits to the Center (when she didn’t have an audience). Men Having Babies - Track 4
Center Families hosted their annual Men Having Babies program. A panel of parents, gestational carriers, lawyers, doctors and surrogacy providers presented information to wannabe parents with a special focus on how to reduce costs. While this podcast is long, the podcast editor, Stefano Biaggioni, was engaged by the content throughout the entire program. The lawyer, Melissa Brisman, is really able to allay the fears that come up for future parents in the surrogacy process. The gestational carrier, Leah, explains why a woman would want to carry another person’s baby. And the parents give fascinating insight on their personal journeys in surrogacy and parenting.Download audio podcast

The ABC's of Immigration - Track 5
The Center’s Immigration Support Services presented a panel on the ABC’s of Immigration in partnership with Immigration Equality and GMHC. The panelists covered basic information on asylum, HIV status and upcoming legislation affecting LGBT immigrants. Although all the presenters are lawyers it should be noted that the information provided is for general information only and should not be considered legal counsel. Right Reverend Gene Robinson - Track 6
The Right Reverend Gene Robinson was elected as the first openly gay, non-celibate Episcopal bishop in 2003. While supported by his congregation in New Hampshire the election has caused controversy and struggle in the Anglican Church worldwide. Robinson visited the Center and discussed his recent book, In the Eye of the Storm. He talked about his civil union with his partner for 21 years, Mark Andrew, and his ongoing effort to encourage LGBT inclusion in the church.Download audio podcast
