Garden Party started in 1984 with 1,000 donors and friends and one catering company. Nowadays, Garden Party attracts over 2,000 friends and supporters and features 46 food participants. As the only LGBT tasting festival in the country, Garden Party is definitely a tasty treat you will not want to miss this year.

We are seeking volunteers for Garden Party 27 on Monday, June 21, 2010 on Pier 54. We need volunteers that are available for Daytime Set-up.

Volunteers - Daytime Set-up will be responsible for supporting our events staff prepare for our guests arrival. Specific tasks include: setting up tables, setting up stages, unloading trucks, decorating, assisting restaurants and setting up bars. Lifting required. Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Shifts: 9AM-6PM, 9AM-2PM, and 1PM-6PM

In order to volunteer you must attend Garden Party Volunteer Orientation on June 17, 2010 at 6:30PM-8PM.

Garden Party is NYC's official kick-off to Pride Week, raising much-needed funds that allow the Center to keep its doors open 365 days a year. Most importantly, the money raised at Garden Party allows the Center to build and support our community through advocacy, culture and health programs, as well as meeting and conference services.
