Young Leaders Membership

The Center’s Young Leaders are young adults with a common interest in supporting the mission of the Center as well as networking and socializing.

The Center’s Young Leaders participate in an extensive calendar of cultural, political, and social offerings. This membership is building a new generation of energetic, influential activists for the LGBT movement while also expanding the community of young New Yorkers committed to the Center and its work.

Qualifications:

  • Ages 21-39
  • Recurring payment of $12.50 or $150 annually
  • Interest in LGBT advocacy

Membership Benefits

  • One Ticket to Young Leader’s Pre-Pride Party in June
  • Two Tickets to Annual Young Leaders General Meeting and Mixer (December)
  • Discounted entry to YLC Center Social
  • Discounted entry to Women’s Event After Party
  • Discounted entry to Garden Party
  • Access to ongoing, unique Young Leader and general Center events, including young professional networking events and exclusive receptions and/or Q&A sessions with speaker(s) at Center Voices
  • Join a Young Leaders project committee and get involved with Center programming
  • Become eligible to join the Young Leaders Council

Why Should You Join?

Joining the Center’s Young Leaders is a great opportunity to be a part of the emerging faces and voices of the LGBT movement. The Young Leaders membership is a wonderful way to build your own sense of community with young New Yorkers that are working to support and enhance the work being done at the Center. Young Leaders have the opportunity to be a part of the events listed above and to work with the Center on political, cultural, and social issues that pertain to the LGBT community. It is a great way to network, socialize, and to be a part of the LGBT rights movement and community in New York City.
