Inspired by a women's gala at Clinton's presidential inauguration, the Center hosted its first Women's Event gala dinner and dance at the Hammerstein Ballroom in 1998. In 2008 the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center is thrilled to be celebrating our 11th annual Women's Event and the 25th anniversary of our organization. Join us Saturday, November 1, 2008, for an evening with cocktails, dining, fabulous silent auction items, dancing with music by DJ Karin Ward and more at our annual gala and premier women's celebration. And we are thrilled to announce that Women's Event 11 will also serve as our salute to "The L Word" in it is 6th and final season on Showtime, with cast members from the iconic series in attendance!
